Platinum® Pfx DNA Polymerase is ideal for amplification of DNA fragments for high-fidelity PCR applications. High fidelity is provided by a proprietary enzyme preparation containing recombinant DNA polymerase from Thermococcus species KOD with proofreading (3´→5´ exonuclease) activity. Platinum® antibody technology provides a simple, automatic, hot-start method that improves PCR specificity (see figure). PCRx Enhancer Solution is included for higher primer specificity, broader magnesium concentration allowances, broader annealing temperature parameters, and improved thermostability of Platinum® Pfx DNA Polymerase. The PCRx Enhancer Solution also helps optimize PCR of problematic and/or GC-rich templates. Platinum® Pfx DNA Polymerase provides:• 26 times higher fidelity than Taq DNA polymerase
• Amplification of fragments up to 12 kb

Platinum® Pfx DNA Polymerase (250 units total, at 2.5U/µL) is a supplied with a vial (2 × 1 mL) of 10X PCRx Enhancer solution, a vial (2 × 1 mL) of 10X Pfx amplification buffer, and a vial (1 mL) of 50 mM MgSO4.
Designed for 250 reactions (at 1 unit each in a 50 µL reaction volume). Store at -20°C.
